Our Story
Two brothers bound by a love of strategy games and red poodles
Michael Patashnik is a software engineer and musician living in Brooklyn, New York. His interests in board games tend towards the more freeform variety. When he's not playing board games, he's an avid Dungeons and Dragons player and a perpetual Game Master. Although he usually loses to Josh at Magic the Gathering, he manages to put up a good fight in Dominion, showcasing his love for strategy games.
Josh Patashnik is a government consultant, photographer, and retired pro Legends of Runeterra (LoR) player residing in Washington DC. In 2022, he was the only player in the world to top cut every single LoR seasonal tournament and made it to the semifinals twice in a row. As the perfectionist of the pair, he relentlessly optimizes his strategies. When he's not immersed in board games, he enjoys exploring DC by bike.
This little sleepy guy is Schroeder. He is our Red Pup! While he doesn’t know how to play board games, he enjoys sitting next to people who are engaged in playing them. He loves pets, treats, and waking our dad up at 4am.
